Burns With over 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, David has amassed an abundance of knowledge in sales, coaching and performance enhancement. David has held senior sales and management positions at both Ortho McNeil Pharmaceutical and GlaxoSmithKline. Following his tenure as a top-performing sales representative, David focused on the development of others in both a training design and field coaching role. As a training manager he coached and led a team of regionally based field trainers. He was instrumental in the design and implementation of behavioral based competency models for both Sales Representatives and District Sales Managers. David managed numerous project design teams and led the implementation of an innovative performance based sales training curriculum for both Sales Representatives and Sales Managers. As a Performance Consultant David is recognized for his unique ability to identify training needs and translate those needs into practical objectives that can be easily implemented while tracking progress to identified goals. His coaching philosophy and competency based training programs are based on application and execution therefore driving a measurable and immediate transfer of skills. David studied at Cornell University and holds a B.A. in Economics. |
